Equator College Art Talent Study Award 2024

Equator College Art Talent Study Award is to award to deserving art talented Malaysians to pursue their higher education at Equator College’s art and design Diploma programs, namely Diploma in Graphic and Multimedia Design, Diploma in Digital 3D Animation, Diploma in Interior Design, Diploma in Architectural Technology, Diploma in Fashion Design Technology, and Diploma in Fine Art.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Open to all SPM, UEC and IGCSE leavers.
  • Malaysian citizens not more than 21 years old
  • Applicant has to prepare and submit three (3) A4-sized Artworks
  • Outstanding students with involvement in art competitions during high school. Art / Media/ Design competition awards won during high school (with proof)
  • A recommendation letter from high school (either from School Principal, School Counsellor or School Art Teacher)
  • Applicants MUST courier / send by Pos Laju or by hand the printed copy of the application forms together with supporting documents to the Equator College’s Leith Street campus on or before 30th June 2024
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.

PENANG FUTURE FOUNDATION

PENANG FUTURE FOUNDATION, made possible by donations from private sectors and individuals, is a scholarship program awarded by the Penang State Government to outstanding and deserving Malaysians to pursue their undergraduate studies in Malaysia. This is one of the State’s initiatives to stem the tide of brain drain and nurture Penang as a talent hub. While the scholarships are open to all eligible Malaysians regardless of race, religion and gender, preference will be given to outstanding and deserving youths from single, low to middle-income families. Upon successful completion of studies, the sponsored scholars are required to work in Penang in organizations of their choice, be it in the private or public sector.

Eligibility

Penang Scholar

  • Minimum CGPA of 3.67 in STPM/ Foundation/ Matriculation/ Diploma/ UEC & equivalent; OR Currently pursuing undergraduate course in Malaysia IPT with minimum CGPA of 3.67; and
  • Household income not more than RM 15,000 per month (equivalent to RM 180,000 annualized); and *Parents’ 2 years tax return/ BE Form must be attached*
  • Malaysian 25 years or younger; and
  • Entering/ Currently pursuing full time first undergraduate Degree (fully accredited by MQA) in Malaysia.

Mutiara Scholar
  • Minimum CGPA of 3.00 in STPM/ Foundation/ Matriculation/ Diploma/ UEC & equivalent; OR Currently pursuing undergraduate course in Malaysia IPT with minimum CGPA of 3.00; and
  • Household income not more than RM 5,000 per month (equivalent to RM 60,000 annualized); and *Parents’ 2 years tax return/ BE Form must be attached*
  • Malaysian 25 years or younger; and
  • Entering/ Currently pursuing full time first undergraduate Degree (fully accredited by MQA) in Malaysia.

FINANCIAL AID

PTPTN

The PTPTN Education Loan Scheme was established for the purpose of providing educational loans to Malaysian students pursuing studies at local institutions of higher education. This education financing will enable students to partially finance their tuition fees for the duration of their study.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Hold a Malaysian citizenship;
  • Not more than 45 years on the date of application;
  • Obtained an offer for admission into a Public/Private Tertiary Education Institution (IPTA/IPTS) that offers a full-time degree or diploma course that is approved by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA);
  • Enrolled to courses that obtained the approval from the Ministry of Education Malaysia and registered with PTPTN;
  • Balance of study upon application must not be less than one year;
  • No other sponsor; and
  • Has opened a SSPN-i account (Skim Simpanan Pendidikan Nasional).
