Diploma in Interior Design

The Diploma in Interior Design course is designed to provide students the opportunity to study all aspects of Interior Design, Spatial Design, and Furniture Design. Students are trained to develop functional, creative, and attractive designs for residential and commercial interior projects.

The course emphasises skills in analysing design problems so as to produce creative and technically proficient designs that can be communicated through both the computer technology and traditional media. Students are also taught the theoretical and historical aspects of art and architecture, building technology, project management, and professional practice which will prepare them for a professional career in the field of interior design.

Study trips are included in the course to broaden students' awareness of contemporary development in built environment. Furthermore, the course also utilises the latest computer-aided design technologies suitable for the modern industry.

Note: All design students are required to have a laptop by the start of 2nd Semester. For students who are purchasing a laptop for the first time, please seek advise/ info from Leith Street Business & Marketing Department.
